What is a VersaSpa spray tan?

A VersaSpa spray tan is an automated spray tan booth experience that applies a fine mist of sunless tanning solution for an even, natural-looking result.

The active ingredients in most sunless tanning solutions include DHA (dihydroxyacetone) and erythrulose, which react with the outer layer of your skin to create a golden-brown color.

Choose your finish: Bronze or Clear

Every single session includes your choice of pH Balancer at no additional cost.

Bronze

• Great if you want immediate bronzed color

• Includes a bronzer on top of a developing tan for your deepest, darkest look

Clear

• Great if you want a subtle glow that builds gradually

• Ideal if you prefer less immediate color transfer

How long does a spray tan take to develop?

Your skin may begin to darken 2-3 hours after application and typically reaches peak color within 24 hours. Many tans continue to develop and even out over 24-48 hours.

Spray tan prep (for the most even, longest-lasting results)

For best results, come with clean, exfoliated skin and no products on your body.

24 hours before

• Exfoliate thoroughly (especially elbows, knees, ankles)

• Shave or wax at least 24 hours before your appointment

The day of your appointment

• Shower and cleanse

• Skip lotion, oils, deodorant, perfume, makeup, and SPF

• Wear dark, loose-fitting clothing and sandals if possible

• Avoid manicures & pedicures day of your VersaSpa Spray tan

Spray tan aftercare (make your glow last)

• Avoid water, sweating, and tight clothing for the recommended development window

• Moisturize daily to help your tan fade evenly

• Avoid harsh exfoliation until you're ready for your tan to come off naturally

FAQs

Can I do red light therapy and a spray tan on the same day?

Yes. If youre doing Red Light Therapy, do RLT first, then VersaSpa after. RLT works best on clean, dry skin, and doing it before your tan helps prevent smudging, streaks, or patchiness while your DHA is setting.

Can I use the tanning bed before a VersaSpa spray tan?

Yes, and it's best to do UV tanning first, then VersaSpa after. A fresh spray tan can be more likely to smudge or develop unevenly with heat/sweat, so do UV first, then spray.

What should I wear to my spray tan appointment?

Wear dark, loose-fitting clothing (and avoid tight bras/leggings right after). Sandals/flipflops are ideal.

Do I need to remove makeup or skincare before a spray tan?

Yes, come with clean, dry skin and avoid lotions, oils, deodorant, perfume, makeup, and SPF the day of your appointment.

How soon will I see results?
